Sky Commuter
In this project, I collaborated with two other students to redesign an early concept of a flying vehicle, called the Sky Commuter. This project really tested my Solidworks design skills as there are many awkward edges and rounded surfaces.
I was personally in charge of the propellers, propeller housing, rear jet, and the side/rear stabilizers. I gained much more experience in SolidWorks with developing complex structures using the loft feature. I also gained experience in creating abstract reference planes. I discovered an entirely new command, the dome feature which I used on top surface of each propeller. The rounded edges gave me much more experience in using surface features.
